Overview

Clorox is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for their Atlanta Main facility, which utilizes automated packaging equipment to manufacture Home Care and Laundry products. The role involves hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of various mechanical and electrical systems to ensure efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively support, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment to prevent and resolve process failures.
  • Provide support through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment.
  • Drive execution of maintenance activities by performing inspections, planned work orders, and emergency work orders.
  • Support planning of maintenance activities by providing feedback and leading root cause analysis.
  • Track time, document work completed, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Collaborate with project teams and vendors to commission and sustain new equipment assets.
  • Perform all work following OSHA and Clorox safety standards.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership in addressing problems without supervision.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and various machinery for repairs and maintenance.
  • Read and update technical manuals and drawings.
  • Understand and support mechanical drive systems and various pump types.
  • Learn and use computer software for maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Industrial maintenance experience with automated packaging equipment is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging equipment.
  • Successful completion of a two-year college curriculum in technical areas or vocational school certificates.
  • Experience related to troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and Automation Devices/Sensors is desirable.
  • Strong commitment to plant non-negotiables and ability to organize work area to 5S standards.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production area for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and machinery components.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
