Overview

Clorox is seeking a qualified candidate for a Maintenance Mechanic position at their Atlanta Main facility, which uses automated packaging equipment to manufacture and distribute Home Care and Laundry products. The role requires hands-on skills to support and repair various mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively support, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment to prevent process failures.
  • Provide support to plant operations through preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Drive the execution of maintenance activities by performing inspections and work orders.
  • Support planning of maintenance activities and lead root cause analysis.
  • Track time, document work completed, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Collaborate with project teams and vendors to sustain new equipment assets.
  • Perform all work following OSHA and Clorox safety standards.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership in addressing problems without supervision.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment for repairs.
  • Read and update technical manuals and drawings.
  • Understand and support mechanical drive systems and various pump types.
  • Learn and use computer software to perform maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Industrial maintenance experience with automated packaging equipment is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on work experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a two-year college curriculum in technical areas or vocational school certificates is required.
  • Experience related to troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and Automation Devices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to organize work area to 5S standards.
  • Must have or develop an elevated level of understanding of Progressive Maintenance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production area for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools, parts, and machinery components is required.
