Overview

Sammons Industrial is an employee-owned company that provides industrial solutions through its various divisions. The Technician 2 - Heavy Line role involves diagnosing and repairing material handling equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment and major components.
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, failure analysis, basic welding, and other repairs.
  • Ensure safety by following all company, DOT, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
  • 3+ years of experience repairing designated equipment or working in a related industry.
  • Mechanical or trade school training and technician certification preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Certification on at least 65% of the designated product line.
  • Dependable, customer-first attitude and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending, and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must furnish own tools.
