Overview

Textron Systems, part of a $14 billion multi-industry company, is seeking a Sr. Welder/Fabricator for their Howe & Howe business area. The role involves welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the production process of various components and products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and other metal materials in all positions.
  • Work from various postures including standing, sitting, lying, and kneeling.
  • Climb on and over vehicles and up and down ladders.
  • Tack weld in various positions and operate jacks, porta-powers, and come-a-longs.
  • Lift materials and tools, including loading and unloading parts.
  • Crawl through craft or on top of vehicles as needed.
  • Bend and twist body to access different compartments.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts safely.
  • Use power tools safely, requiring two hands for operation.
  • Maintain tidy work areas and follow safety and quality instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineers on product design and testing.
  • Perform quality control to identify defective items.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated welding skills based on test results.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Ability to read and understand product schematics and assembly instructions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technology and basic electrical principles.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic principles and hose assembly.

What you'll be running
