Overview

Timken is seeking a Fabricator/Welder for their Smith Services division in Princeton, WV. This role involves supporting operations through welding and fabrication tasks while providing opportunities for personal and professional advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Train and test for certification.
  • Process work orders through the weld shop or other departments as instructed.
  • Achieve and maintain weld certifications.
  • Perform fabrication, including Tig, Stick, and Mig welding, soldering, and restacking stator iron.
  • Manage segregation, control, and traceability of raw materials and weld rods.
  • Follow customer specifications for various welding duties.
  • Ensure quality of all work performed.
  • Complete related paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
  • Understand and utilize drawings, sketches, and repair manuals.
  • Provide feedback to engineering on discrepancies and quality errors.
  • Work overtime, on weekends, and on holidays as necessary.

Requirements

  • Must have verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form.
  • Capable of dealing with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to present information effectively in small group situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of Fabricating/Welding experience.

What you'll be running
