Overview

Northlake Collision is seeking a Collision Technician responsible for identifying and performing necessary body repair work in accordance with factory and Collision Center specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Examine body damage on customer vehicles.
  • Identify necessary body repair work.
  • Estimate cost of body work.
  • Request necessary parts.
  • Perform body repairs including removing damaged body parts and replacing with fixed or new parts.
  • Document repairs performed.
  • Perform body repairs efficiently and according to Collision Center and insurance company guidelines.
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participate in required training.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core Values.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive body repair.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of body repair methods.
  • Collision Center repair training or commensurate experience.
  • Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform Collision Center repair functions.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Must pass OSHA respiratory medical exam.

Additional Information

  • The position requires regular and predictable attendance.
  • Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Duties are performed primarily in the Collision Center.
