Overview

The Welder position involves maintaining, fabricating, installing, repairing, and replacing facility piping systems and related components. The role requires working in confined spaces and at heights, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure the efficient operation of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, and safety relief systems.
  • Repairs and maintains cracking furnaces and reactors.
  • Utilizes electric, air and hydraulically driven tools and equipment.
  • Utilizes cutting equipment.
  • Rigs for lifting equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Cleans up work area following completion of assigned job task and properly disposes of waste materials.
  • Returns tools and equipment to normal storage areas.
  • Completes other routine or assigned duties as necessary to meet the maintenance department work schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum four years industrial pipe welding experience with high nickel alloys such as Stainless, Hastelloy, Inconel, and Nickel.
  • Attainment of qualifying skills in two additional maintenance crafts sufficient to assist other craftsmen.
