Overview

The Operations Engineer position in Baytown, TX involves supporting field installations, troubleshooting, and developing installation procedures for FlexSteel pipe. The role requires local candidates and includes some travel to meet company and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support field installations, investigations, and planning activities.
  • Serve as technical lead on special projects and new service offerings.
  • Develop and implement installation procedures and documentation.
  • Lead troubleshooting and issue resolution efforts.
  • Aid in the development and improvement of installation and handling equipment.
  • Assume ownership of projects to ensure efficient completion.
  • Ensure conservative engineering practices are implemented.
  • Model and design field equipment and installation scenarios.
  • Provide technical support to other functional groups and clients.
  • Attend client meetings as the company technical representative.
  • Emphasize a 'Safety First' attitude in all activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Three to seven years of related experience or equivalent education.
  • Pipeline and/or Petroleum production system offshore construction experience.
  • Understanding of computer systems related to technical documentation and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication and machining.
  • SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.
  • High technical ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
