Overview

Boardwalk is a limited partnership in the midstream natural gas and natural gas liquids industry, providing transportation and storage services. They are seeking an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician for their Spring, TX location to ensure safe and reliable operations of a natural gas compressor station and pipeline system.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the compressor station on a rotating schedule.
  • Respond to callouts during assigned operating weeks.
  • Participate in an area-wide on-call rotation for emergencies.
  • Identify and report abnormal or unsafe conditions.
  • Complete accident and near-miss reporting.
  • Support emergency response efforts.
  • Perform regulatory compliance activities.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Handle natural gas related to compression equipment and pipeline network.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and regulated compliance inspections.
  • Manage facility encroachment activities such as pipe locates and excavations.
  • Acquire Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks.

Requirements

  • Must live within 30 miles of the Spring, TX compressor station.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to manage filing system.
  • History of safe work.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Current Driver’s License with clean record.
