Overview

The Project Manager / Engineer position requires a motivated individual to plan, design, and execute project activities while maintaining customer focus. The role involves technical support for unresolved issues and collaboration with sales and service departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist sales in designing and developing specifications, drawings, equipment selections, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Review and prepare sales estimates and proposal packages for design engineers.
  • Assist in customer presentations related to Technical and Project Management.
  • Travel as needed for sales assistance and project support.
  • Prepare mechanical, electrical, piping, and control drawings using AutoCAD and Solid Works.
  • Prepare submittal packages including catalogue cut sheets.
  • Review approved submittals and make necessary corrections.
  • Develop and supervise the creation of construction drawings.
  • Assist in system construction to maintain schedule, budget, and design integrity.
  • Develop 'as-built' documentation and Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Provide after-shipment support for system commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key mechanical contractors.
  • Serve as the senior Technical Support resource for escalated troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with principals regarding product problem resolution and improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred, or Associate degree with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience in project management/estimating.
  • Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
  • Keystrokes a minimum of 45 wpm.
  • Versatility and flexibility to work within changing priorities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Long hours and occasional travel may be required.
