Overview

Bowman Steel is seeking an experienced Production Welder to join their fabrication team in Ocala/Summerfield. This full-time position emphasizes quality workmanship and teamwork in producing high-quality welds while meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum components.
  • Fabricate and weld handrails, stairs, gates, ladders, and related steel products.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Follow fabrication specifications, measurements, and shop instructions.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality.
  • Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety requirements and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and other members of the production team.
  • Assist with additional fabrication and shop duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous MIG welding experience required.
  • Experience working with steel and aluminum.
  • Experience fabricating handrails, stairs, gates, and ladders preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and receive additional training.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements associated with fabrication and welding work.
  • Welding skills may be evaluated as part of the hiring process.
