Overview

We are a leading manufacturer in Southern California with over 60 years in business, experiencing year-over-year growth in various markets including Aerospace and Defense. We are seeking Mechanical Engineers to develop, design, and test mechanical systems or products, offering stability and upward growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, and robots.
• Coordinate with project managers to work on projects and understand the scope of work.
• Use CAD and drafting equipment and software to create prototypes.
• Analyze test results and modify designs or systems as needed.
• Oversee the manufacturing process for machinery or equipment.
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
• Ensure project timelines are met and projects stay within budget.
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis for product testing and design.
• Use Matlab for complex mathematical computations and simulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
• Advanced skills in Engineering Design, Project Engineering, and Product Design.
• Experience in Finite Element Analysis and Matlab.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proven history of successful project management.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
