Overview

At ISC Manufacturing, the GMAW/FCAW Production Fabricator is responsible for fitting and welding parts for various industries, including Agriculture, Mining, and Waste Processing. The role involves working with carbon and stainless steel to produce high-quality equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Stage components to tight tolerances.
  • Prep with angle grinders, drill presses, handheld plasma, oxy-fuel torch, and an ironworker.
  • Lay down quality welds using GMAW and FCAW techniques.
  • Tackle occasional elevated work using ladders or a boom lift.
  • Assemble with wrenches and hand tools to ensure a clean fit-up.
  • Rig and lift heavy, odd-shaped parts safely and effectively.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of MIG experience and solid FCAW capability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in similar settings like screw conveyors and heavy equipment fabrication.
  • Accurate tape-measure reading and blueprint comprehension.
  • Comfort with CNC-cut and manually formed parts.
  • PPE-forward mindset with strict adherence to safety standards.
  • Detail-focused, dependable, self-driven, collaborative, and quality obsessed.

Additional Information

  • Must pass a welding test before hire.
  • AWS D1.1 certification test after hire.
  • 30–90 day probation period.
  • Must be able to work Monday–Fridays 5–5:30; sometimes weekends as needed.
