Overview

The Pipefitter position involves installing and maintaining high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems, utility supply and disposal systems, and associated fixtures and insulating materials at the Oklahoma City VAMC.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems.
  • Install, modify, and repair utility supply and disposal systems, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
  • Replace old insulation removed during pipefitting or plumbing work.
  • Set up system routes and install necessary components to support system pressures.
  • Plan and lay out plumbing system equipment installations and modifications.
  • Interpret and apply building plans and blueprints.
  • Ensure compliance with trade standards and safety regulations.
  • Measure insulation dimensions and install insulating materials.
