Job Description

Overview

Forcible Entry, Inc. is a veteran-owned manufacturing company that designs and builds specialized training equipment for first responders. They are seeking a dependable, hands-on Shop Technician to join their assembly and production team on a part-time basis, with long-term potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble finished products and components
  • Use common hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Measure, fit, drill, grind, and prepare materials
  • Follow drawings, instructions, and established assembly processes
  • Package products and prepare orders for shipment
  • Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop
  • Assist in other areas of production when needed

Requirements

  • Show up on time and be ready to work
  • Have solid mechanical ability and hands-on working knowledge of tools
  • Be comfortable reading a tape measure and following shop drawings
  • Take pride in producing clean, accurate work
  • Accept instruction and respond well to feedback
  • Work independently while also contributing to the team
  • Look for solutions when problems arise
  • Be willing to learn products and manufacturing processes
  • Be willing to help wherever needed to complete the job
  • Basic MIG welding or fabrication experience is helpful but not required
  • Forklift experience and certification are also helpful but not required
