Overview

We are currently hiring an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a manufacturing and fabrication company in Rancho Cordova. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on welding or metal fabrication experience who is looking for a 4/10 schedule with Fridays off.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal materials
  • Fabricate, join, and repair metal components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Select the correct gas, wire, and welding materials for each job
  • Perform groove, fillet, lap, butt, and full-penetration welds
  • Complete multi-pass welds and stack-ups as required
  • Use oxy-acetylene and plasma torches to cut materials
  • Perform carbon air arc cutting as required
  • Fabricate basic fixtures for welding and fabrication work
  • Straighten and correct welded parts as needed
  • Visually inspect completed welds for quality and defects
  • Inspect welding equipment and tools for safe operation
  • Operate a forklift as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of welding, sheet metal, or metal fabrication experience
  • Hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to perform basic butt and fillet welds
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and weld quality
  • Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain AWS D1.1 or D1.3 welding certifications as required
  • Forklift certification is a plus; must be able to obtain certification if needed

What you'll be running
