Position Title: MIG Welder Wage: Day $22.00/hour, Night $25.00/hour Shift: Days or Nights Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM QPS Employment Group is hiring Welders for a manufacturing client in Janesville, WI. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with the potential for direct hire after 90 days based on performance and attendance. MIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform MIG welding on various metals and materials - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols - Set up and operate welding equipment - Prepare materials through cleaning, grinding, and positioning components - Inspect welds and perform repairs as needed - Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Work collaboratively with production and leadership teams to meet production goals MIG Welder Requirements: - High school diploma or GED preferred - Welding certification or trade school training is a plus - 2+ years of welding experience preferred - Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures - Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, fumes, and other industrial conditions - Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
