MIG Welder – Manufacturing Location: Green Cove Springs, FL Available Shifts: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift Position Type: Full-Time Industry: Manufacturing / Heavy Equipment Job Summary We are seeking skilled MIG Welders for a heavy equipment manufacturing facility in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Multiple shifts are available, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. The MIG Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling steel components used in the manufacturing of heavy equipment. Candidates should have previous MIG welding experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform MIG/GMAW welding on steel components and fabricated assemblies. Weld components used in the manufacturing and assembly of heavy equipment. Read and follow blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and welding specifications. Perform proper fit-up and positioning of parts prior to welding. Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, gauges, and other measuring tools. Set up and adjust welding equipment according to material thickness and welding requirements. Tack weld components before completing final welds. Produce consistent welds that meet required quality standards. Inspect completed welds for proper penetration, size, appearance, and overall quality. Identify welding defects and perform rework or repairs when necessary. Use grinders and other hand and power tools for surface preparation and finishing. Remove slag, spatter, and excess material as necessary. Follow established welding procedures and production specifications. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas. Meet production and quality expectations while maintaining safe work practices. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE. Perform additional welding and manufacturing duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous MIG welding experience required. Manufacturing, heavy equipment, structural steel, or metal fabrication experience preferred. Work Environment This position is performed in an industrial heavy equipment manufacturing environment. Employees will work around welding operations, sparks, hot metal, grinding operations, machinery, noise, and large fabricated steel components.
