We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team in a fast-paced machine shop environment. This position is responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, welding assemblies, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components and structures.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required.

• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, ironworkers, and other shop machinery.

• Measure, cut, and prepare materials to specifications.

• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience performing MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.

• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.

• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.

• Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

• Experience with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.

• Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.

• Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.

• Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Welder Fabricator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.

• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.

• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.

• Ability to lift up to pounds and stand for extended periods.
