Overview

Ingalls Shipbuilding, the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi, is seeking entry-level Pipe Welders to join their team. The role involves performing pipe welding procedures in a shipyard environment, contributing to the construction of naval ships for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using GTAW (TIG) welding.
  • Work in a shipyard environment that may involve heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
  • Adhere to safety procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must have graduated from a pipe welder program at a vo-tech school or other training school.
  • Program must include training in TIG root and stick fill and cap on steel piping in the 6GR position.
