Overview

SA Recycling is seeking a capable Welder for the Night Shift to repair and maintain metal recycling equipment. The role involves cutting and joining metals while adhering to safety protocols and demonstrating attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and maintenance assignments for a metal recycling shredder and other industrial equipment.
  • Weld various steel components with ARC and MIG welding equipment.
  • Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to fit specific dimensions.
  • Perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Work from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; graduation from a trade school preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in welding processes such as MIG, stick, and torch welding on a variety of materials.
  • Recycling industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of welding fabrication tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to safely work at varying heights, in tight quarters, and varying positions.
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
