Overview

The Steel Fabrication Foreman will oversee all aspects of carbon and stainless-steel piping projects from the shop order initiation to delivery, ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Manager of Steel Fabrication to build an accurate production schedule.
  • Ensure the production schedule is adhered to for timely order shipments.
  • Assist in developing and evaluating time estimates for shop staff to complete fit up and welding.
  • Supervise employees in the steel fab shop and implement accountability systems.
  • Work with QA/QC personnel to ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Suggest operational improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Train welders, fitters, and helpers in the AWWA Water Pipe Industry.
  • Support company culture by leading with a positive attitude and dependability.
  • Coordinate job releases and assignments with the Manager of Steel Fabrication.
  • Manage the flow of supplies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of production operations and machinery.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior exceptional work experience with the company preferred.
