Overview

The Spooling Lead-Fabrication is responsible for leading a team of 10 to 20 production workers, ensuring timely completion of work orders while adhering to safety and quality standards. Enerflex is a global provider of energy infrastructure solutions, committed to integrity, safety, and employee success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fitters, welders, and helpers have necessary tools and materials.
• Coordinate with the Fabrication Supervisor, Planner, and QA/QC to execute deliverables per schedule and project requirements.
• Confirm work orders in a timely fashion.
• Review scope of work and communicate recommendations of fabrication planned hours.
• Document any rework and report it to the Fabrication Planner and Supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of immediate work areas.
• Ensure all spools are free of debris and safe prior to operation.
• Mentor and train welders, fitters, and helpers.
• Address personnel issues with direct reports professionally.
• Lead daily safety meetings with the spooling team.
• Document employee call-ins and communicate with Kronos Admin and Supervisor.
• Ensure devices in the area are online at shift end.
• Perform safety responsibilities in the area.
• Maintain and lead the 6S program in the area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
• Exceptional attendance and safety record.
