Overview

KBR is seeking a Second Shift Advanced Program Support Technician to support the SPACE SUIT DESIGN TEAM in their Science and Space division. The ideal candidate will be qualified in multiple working areas and will assist in establishing second shift operations focused on manufacturing, testing, and maintenance of aerospace flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, testing, repair and processing of hardware to support various events and deliverables.
• Incorporates engineering changes and performs functional performance testing of AxEMU components and related hardware.
• Operates machine equipment including 3D printers, RF welding machines, fabric laser and wheel cutters.
• Assists engineers in locating and diagnosing anomalies and recommends corrective actions.
• Reads engineering drawings/schematics, equipment specifications, and test procedures.
• Completes specified training to maintain certifications for job functions.
• Updates various job-related databases daily.
• Adheres to Quality and Safety requirements.
• Operates a motor vehicle for delivery of hardware to various events.
• Communicates daily with technicians, leads, engineers, managers, and customers.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Class III Physical, Physiological Training, Clean Room and Controlled Work Area Training.
• Excellent mechanical skills and ability to read and execute detailed technical procedures and engineering drawings.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record; able to operate a government vehicle.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work in a team environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• 5+ years of related experience.
