Overview

The Sr. Quality Technician, Mechanical in Houston performs complex inspections of mechanical equipment and serves as a technical resource for Quality Technicians and Production personnel. The role supports first builds, quality issue resolution, and final product readiness at Integra, a company focused on transforming the data center industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical equipment.
• Support first-article, first-build, and critical product inspections.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material, specifications, and inspection checklists.
• Inspect complex structural assemblies, piping systems, and related mechanical equipment.
• Verify critical dimensions, fit-up, alignment, and assembly completeness.
• Review pressure-test, leak-test, and mechanical inspection records.
• Support inspection priorities and resolve significant production-floor Quality issues.
• Mentor Quality Technicians on mechanical inspection methods.
• Evaluate nonconforming conditions and escalate issues as needed.
• Support containment, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Verify rework, corrections, and closure of nonconformances.
• Review recurring defects and recommend improvements.
• Support the development of inspection checklists and acceptance criteria.
• Assist with customer inspections, audits, and product-release activities.
• Protect the accuracy and traceability of inspection records.
• Report significant product risks and unresolved conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five or more years of mechanical manufacturing, assembly, or inspection experience preferred.
• Experience performing complex mechanical inspections and supporting quality activities.
• Experience mentoring or training Quality or Production personnel.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical equipment assembly and structural systems.
• Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of piping, gaskets, bolting, and testing controls.
• Proficiency with mechanical inspection and measuring equipment.
• Ability to evaluate complex findings and determine necessary actions.
• Knowledge of nonconformance documentation and corrective actions.
• Strong judgment, communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
