Overview

As an Equipment Technician for a car wash, you will ensure optimal site performance through expert troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, taking pride in executing tasks correctly the first time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, replace defective parts, and use hand and power tools safely.
  • Execute preventive maintenance proactively to anticipate failure points.
  • Apply systematic problem-solving to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Close out work orders, update CMMS logs, and red-line drawings accurately.
  • Train site staff on proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Assist with new site installations and equipment launches.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies and on-call needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of car wash equipment experience and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems hands-on.
  • Proactive mindset to surface issues before they escalate.
  • Strong documentation habits for closing work orders and updating logs.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools safely and accurately.
  • Reliable and responsive for on-call and after-hours emergencies.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, PLCs, VFDs, or relay logic is a strong plus.
  • CMMS background is a plus.
  • Ability to weld, fabricate, or dismantle equipment is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
