As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks related to aircraft maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fuel aircraft.
• Remove and install engines.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.
• Assist in aircraft movement and performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license is preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar for AMT I.
• 2-4 years of experience in aviation maintenance for AMT II.
• 4-6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance for AMT III.
• 6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance for AMT IV (Master).
• Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints.
• Reliable transportation to work.

Additional Information

• Full-time position.
• On-site work in Wheeling, IL, USA.
• Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations.
• Physical requirements include lifting 50 lbs and routine walking, bending, and squatting.
