Overview

The Pipefitter-Welder position at Sundt Inc. involves planning, laying out, and performing pipe welding and fabrication work according to industry standards. The role requires a strong understanding of the pipefitter trade and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
  • Produce high quality work, safely and productively always.
  • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
  • Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks and methods regarding the work.
  • Continually seek opportunities to share knowledge and teach others.
  • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, isometrics, P&ID’s, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Must pass required weld test(s) for the work being performed.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required.
