Overview

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer of refrigeration systems and related products, committed to innovation and customer-centric solutions. The Refrigeration Construction Pipefitter role involves installing supermarket refrigeration systems, ensuring safety and quality in construction tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation of supermarket refrigeration systems including electrical, piping, and fixture handling.
  • Pipe cooler boxes, overhead lines, compressor rooms/houses, and refrigeration cases.
  • Install pipe hangers as directed by the Foreman.
  • Provide construction support by brazing, insulating, and hanging piping.
  • Assist the Construction Foreman as needed.
  • Abide by all safety protocols and serve as an example to others.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in pipefitting of supermarket refrigeration systems.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing and pipe fitting.
  • Knowledge of brazing refrigeration piping.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
  • Ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time or as required.
