Overview

Datwyler is a high-tech company that produces system-critical elastomer components for various global markets, including healthcare and mobility. The Electro Mechanic (2nd shift) is responsible for maintaining production and quality performance levels while ensuring efficient use of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, install, and repair equipment and machinery.
• Adhere to all safety rules in accordance with SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to meet production needs.
• Demonstrate company values and participate in department or quality team meetings.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, cleaning, and repairs of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair various electrical wiring, switches, relays, contactors, starters, AC/DC drives, and motors.
• Run conduit, wiring outlets, breakers, transformers, and lighting.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic/pneumatic valves and cylinders.
• Rebuild rack and pinion on presses and replace gears, pulleys, and belts on machines.
• Maintain required records and logs regarding inspections, testing, maintenance, installation, and repairs.

Requirements

• High School or GED equivalent is required.
• 3 - 5 years of related mechanical and electrical experience.
• Previous hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Licensure in forklift, plumbing, electrical, or boiler operator is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge of HVAC and Chiller systems.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Mechanical and electrical ability.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to handle hazardous chemicals.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs including Allen Bradley and Siemens.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and implement GMP, SOPs, and other procedures.

Additional Information

• Position requires standing for prolonged periods of time (8+ hours) with frequent bending and kneeling.
• Lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs and pushing and pulling of 150 lbs is required.
• Mechanics may climb ladders and step stools.
• Personal protective equipment must be worn where required.
• Employees must wear protection clothing in certain areas of the facility.
• Mechanics are required to have 20/20 vision with or without correction.
• Business needs require working an established 40 hours workweek and additional hours as production needs arise.
