Overview

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking Quality Inspectors to support the construction of advanced submarines, ensuring that every component meets high safety and performance standards. This role is critical in maintaining national security and requires a commitment to excellence and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection duties at offsite locations, verifying attributes for welds, structures, and components.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet company and organizational goals.
  • Maintain a Magnetic Particle certification and possibly other inspection disciplines.
  • Document and archive inspection results accurately.
  • Work safely and responsibly, ensuring the integrity of the product.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent OR 2 plus years of related technical experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain an MT certification within the first three months.
  • Ability to grind joints and clear indications during inspections.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions.
  • Possess basic hand tools and be able to work all shifts and travel as needed.
