As part of Magna International, Magna Energy Storage Systems Group develops and manufactures innovative fuel tank systems and components for heavy-duty trucks and passenger cars, specializing in plug-in hybrids.

Responsibilities

  • Repair robot welds as needed
  • In Line Inspection
  • Leak Testing
  • Documentation Repair welds
  • Fast Response in case of systematic welding defects
  • Riveting
  • Backup for all Operators
  • Assess welds to ensure cleanliness and within designated specifications of customer requirements
  • Conduct test to evaluate weld quality
  • Collaborate with engineering to address issues

Requirements

  • Graduation from related trade school or high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 1-3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of experience TIG welding, with experience in aluminum strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to assess metal structures to identify and initiate repair of damaged welds
  • Ability to measure close tolerances (Metric & Imperial)
  • Knowledge and ability to use small tools, operate air/hand tools, welders, grinder and buffing machines
