Overview

STG is a Preferred Vendor of a major Automotive Firm in MI, actively seeking multiple Wire Harness Engineers. The company emphasizes a strong culture of teamwork and individual performance, providing immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Be a member of Ford Motor Company's Product Development Team co-located at Chicago Assembly Plant.
  • Act as the first line of defense regarding quality for the Explorer and Aviator vehicle lines.
  • Responsible for the complete electrical system of the vehicle, including module software and electrical distribution system.
  • Lead resolution of design and quality issues by defining issues and determining root causes.
  • Collaborate with the proper skill team to ensure containment activity is taken to protect customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in system engineering, root cause analysis, and quality improvement.
  • Familiarity with developing and releasing wiring harness designs for vehicle electrical distribution systems.
  • Hands-on experience with OEM wiring design tools (e.g., CATIA/Capital or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of SAE/USCAR wiring standards and ability to read and mark up 2D/3D wiring diagrams.
