Overview

A well established and growing precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace and defense industries is hiring skilled Welders to join their growing production team. Pay is based on experience level, with strong earning potential for skilled welders, and this team is known for investing in the people who keep production moving.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other exotic alloys.
  • Achieve tight dimensional tolerances, interpreting GD&T symbols and precision weld maps.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications in compliance with industry and applicable defense welding standards.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, including orbital welding systems, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Conduct weld inspections using NDT methods and maintain accurate records of weld parameters and results.
  • Support audits by documenting and demonstrating compliance with quality and safety protocols.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all plant safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; technical training in welding preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of welding experience in aerospace or defense environments, with success on thin-walled, precision components.
  • Proven skill with thin materials and exotic alloys.
  • AWS Certified Aerospace Welder or equivalent; NAVSEA or company-specific defense welding certification preferred.
  • Ability to read GD&T and blueprints, and proficiency with precision measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and good documentation habits.
  • Ability to lift and position materials up to approximately 50 lbs and weld in multiple positions, including overhead and vertical.

Additional Information

  • 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour shifts per week), with 1st and 2nd shift openings available.
  • Weekend rotation currently in place, with employees rotating Friday/Saturday coverage.
  • Significant overtime currently available through December based on production demand.
