Overview

The Pipe Welder/Fabricator position involves welding and fabricating various pipe types and sizes, ensuring compliance with ASME standards. The role requires proficiency in multiple welding processes and the ability to assist in mentoring and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper machine and positioner setup and upkeep procedures.
  • Weld A53 and A312 pipes in various positions using GMAW-P and GTAW processes.
  • Pass visual tests for SCH. 10 & 40 TEE fittings.
  • Configure and weld Victaulic standard parts from 4" to 12" in diameter.
  • Assist Welding Robot Operators with fitup and basic operation.
  • Perform duties of a Level 1 Structural Welder.
  • Balance welding-related production as required.
  • Assist in trialing new part weldability and feasibility.
  • Mentor less skilled welders with best practices.
  • Troubleshoot welding procedures.

Requirements

  • Certification to weld A53 pipe in 1G-R and 2G positions using GMAW-P process.
  • Certification to weld A312 pipe in 1G-R and 2G positions using GMAW-P process.
  • Certification to weld A53 O-Lets using GTAW for root and GMAW-P for cap.
  • Proficient understanding of Victaulic ES1124 weld standard and weld symbols.
  • Proficient rigging and crane operation for non-standard parts.
  • Ability to configure parts according to shop drawings.
  • Proficient understanding of measurement devices.

What you'll be running
