Overview

As a Field Service Engineer/Technician, you will support the sustainable profitable growth of the company through exceptional customer service, focusing on safety, operational efficiency, quality, team development, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. This role involves developing skills with various pump technologies and supporting team performance.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and rebuild API 610 pumps by disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, warping, or other defects using inspection tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Install pumps onto base plates and assemble motors, manifolds, and tubing as required.
• Prepare and paint new and rebuilt equipment per company procedures.
• Prepare repair reports and field service reports by collecting, documenting, and analyzing pump and customer information.
• Verify quality and pump performance by conducting shop run tests and maintaining accurate performance and test records on repaired pumps.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventories by checking stock and recording the use of all parts used in the repair of a pump.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and on-the-job training sessions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, good manufacturing practices, customer requirements, and local and federal regulations.
• Share technical knowledge, travel to customer sites including offshore and foreign countries, and assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and start-ups.
• Anticipate and understand the needs of customers.
• Represent the core values and cultural behaviors of Atlas Copco at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industrial pump service and repair experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification.
• Crane certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Current U.S. Passport.
• Technical Training Certifications related to Pump technology.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email communications (Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience performing equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.
• Ability to identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend repair solutions.
• Experience operating machine shop equipment, including lathes, drill presses, and related machinery.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Additional Information

• Travel to Germany for job-related training for a minimum of six weeks.
• Ability to travel for field service assignments when necessary, including weekends and holidays (40%).
• You will be part of our customer center in Houston, Texas on Greens Road.
