Overview

The Field QC Supervisor is responsible for inspecting, documenting, and reporting on work performed by Matrix NAC personnel and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety policies and quality management systems. This position is based on jobsites in Wilmington, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by, support, and enforce all Matrix NAC safety policies and procedures.
  • Achieve familiarity with Matrix Tank Construction Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable project codes and standards.
  • Act as the lead Quality Control representative for site implementation of the QMS and Project Quality Plans (PQP).
  • Support ongoing Matrix NAC work efforts and supervise QC/NDE personnel.
  • Perform daily inspections and audits of materials, personnel qualifications, and workmanship.
  • Organize and perform assigned project QC inspections and reporting duties.
  • Conduct assigned QC audits and related reporting duties.
  • Provide instruction and training for Welders and NDE personnel as needed.
  • Oversee on-site Welder qualification and NDE personnel competency testing.
  • Report deficiencies and suggest corrective actions to the QA/QC Manager.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work frequent overtime.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial work platforms.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess at least one current/valid Inspection credential with 5+ years' experience, such as API-653 or AWS CWI.
