Overview

Join Amrize as a Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) 1 and help construct what's next. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning May 2027, aimed at students passionate about sustainability and eager to gain hands-on experience in cement production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical equipment.
• Review and interpret existing P&ID drawings to make necessary updates based on engineering changes or field data.
• Assist in creating and modifying P&ID drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret P&ID drawings and understand the layout of equipment and instrumentation.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
• Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations.
• Present learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
• A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience.

Additional Information

• This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
• You will be working in a plant manufacturing and production environment.
• You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the worksite.
• You may need to travel for site tours, shadowing experiences, or intern events.
