Overview

Qorvo is a leading provider of innovative semiconductor solutions, serving various high-growth markets. The company is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Systems Engineering Technician to support the operation and maintenance of Deionized Water and Industrial Wastewater systems within its semiconductor manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance and assist in data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of DIW and IWW systems.
  • Support system startups, shutdowns, and changeovers in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including equipment engineering, EHS, and facilities operations.
  • Respond to system alarms and emergencies, providing timely and effective resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Have working knowledge of PVAC, PCW, ChW, Steam, HotW, and Exhaust Systems.
  • Fill in as an operator on an occasional basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical systems maintenance, preferably in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of DIW and IWW systems, including water purification, chemical dosing, and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, Microsoft Package and CMMS software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and semiconductor facility operations is preferred.
  • Certification in water treatment or wastewater operations is a plus.
