Overview

Timken is seeking a Crane Fabricator/Welder to join their team, where you can make an immediate impact on improving industrial equipment efficiency. This role involves welding, fabrication, and assembly of overhead bridge cranes in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate overhead cranes and various shop tools for steel fabrication.
  • Read and understand blueprints with dimensions and tolerancing.
  • Accurately lay out, cut, fit, and weld with minimal supervision.
  • Work safely around moving machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
  • Understand, perform, and retain various skill-related training and operational and safety procedures.
  • Be able and willing to work overtime/weekends.
  • Be able and willing to perform a limited amount of work in the field.
  • Perform other skilled and non-skilled tasks as required.

Requirements

  • 2 years of welding experience required.
  • High School/GED required.
  • Associate degree in Welding Technology or Licensed in AWS MIG/FCAW and SMAW/stick.
