Overview

Granite Construction is seeking a Welder Fabricator who will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment. The company values its employees as its most important asset and aims to build a strong partnership with them.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on pipe, vessels, structural skids and other equipment.
  • Ability to weld both CS and SS piping.
  • Layout, cut, fit and otherwise prepare material for welding.
  • Fabricate material from piping schematics and other drawings, working from blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions.
  • Operate oxy-acetylene torch to cut, braze, weld and solder.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
  • Perform quality detailing work, grinding, polishing, etc.
  • Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns, performing all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete all appropriate documentation and paperwork.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in pipeline construction and welding procedures.
  • Welding certifications a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience with drilling, welding casing is a plus.
  • Experienced in Stick, Wire Feed, TIG.
  • Experience with conceptualizing and designing for fabrication.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Ability to routinely lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct.
