Overview

Freeman West is seeking skilled Welders/Fabricators to join our team, focusing primarily on MIG and Flux Core welding. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in welding and fabricating, with proficiency in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and Flux Core welding depending on department.
  • Conduct weld tests.
  • Read tape measures.
  • Work at heights on platform ladders and scissor lifts.

What you'll be running

Flux-cored (FCAW) runs a hollow wire filled with flux, combining MIG-like deposition rates with the outdoor tolerance of stick. It is the workhorse on heavy structural steel and shipbuilding, where thick sections and long welds reward speed.
