Overview

Sloan Valve Company, a fourth-generation family-owned business founded in 1906, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to contribute to the design and development of innovative water-efficient solutions. The role involves collaboration in product customization and continuous improvement initiatives within a culture that values family spirit, community, integrity, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design new products in a team-based, stage gate development process.
  • Document components and complex assemblies.
  • Develop and document engineering specifications and material requirements.
  • Process ECNs and follow established document control procedures.
  • Create 3D models and customer production drawings using Creo Parametric.
  • Analyze and resolve design challenges through engineering analysis.
  • Specify and plan robust experimentation for product design validation.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Coordinate engineering activity with partners and design sites.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for design automation.
  • Research and recommend new technologies for product prototyping.
