Overview

The Welder 1 position involves reporting to the Welding Lead for work assignments, completing daily welding tasks, and working in a team environment to produce quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions from the Welding Lead.
  • Operate a MIG welder, plasma cutter, drill press, and cutoff saw.
  • Sand floors and grind bars.
  • Chip out weld clips.
  • Cut out block outs.
  • Adhere to all TBB safety standards and wear all required PPE.
  • Maintain high safety considerations.
  • Work irregular hours and overtime when required.
  • Bring a positive attitude each day.
  • Create a welcoming work environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to work scheduled hours.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Willingness to obtain a welding certificate.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-24 months experience in welding preferred.
  • Ability to regularly work a 12-hour shift standing/walking.
  • Ability to regularly climb ladders repetitively.
  • Ability to regularly bend, crouch, twist, and pull.
  • Ability to regularly lift/carry 80 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly work at a desk for short periods of time.

This position normally requires physical presence at one or more TBB manufacturing locations Monday through Friday.
