Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on various metal materials, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding procedures and specifications.
  • Perform welding using various techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW in accordance with AWS standards.
  • Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math.
  • Use power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
  • Fabricate sheet metal structures and assemblies by cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing metal parts while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols during all welding and fabrication activities.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality assurance using calipers, measuring instruments, and visual inspection techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes.
  • Certification as a welder from an accredited institution or organization such as AWS.
  • Extensive experience with multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and shop math for precise measurements.
  • Knowledge of construction safety protocols and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication projects.
  • Strong hand tool skills along with experience operating power tools safely.
  • Ability to work on construction sites or fabrication shops with a focus on quality craftsmanship.

What you'll be running
