Overview

The Welder/Fitter is responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements for steel building materials. This role involves fabricating and assembling structural steel components while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Fabricate and assemble structural steel components using welding techniques.
  • Operate welding equipment and tools, including MIG, TIG, stick, and robotic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with welding standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Perform welding processes such as cutting, fitting, positioning, and tack welding.
  • Monitor welding parameters to achieve desired weld characteristics.
  • Inspect and test welded joints and finished products for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • 2 years of MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding standards and safety regulations.
  • Experience with various welding techniques and equipment.

What you'll be running
