Overview

The Production Welder will work both independently and within team environments to support daily manufacturing schedules and production goals, ensuring that quality, cost, delivery, and safety standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality welds in all positions using MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • Maintain safe work practices and produce high-quality welds.
  • Train and mentor other welders to ensure consistent performance and safety.
  • Complete required quality and safety checks, procedures, and documentation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment as directed.
  • Construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, and finished products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Welding Technician Diploma preferred.
  • Associate degree in a technical field highly desirable.
  • Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Must pass background check, physical, drug, and alcohol screenings.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
