Snowline Engineering is a precision machining facility located in Cameron Park, CA, specializing in precision machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and turnkey assemblies since 1966. The company serves a diverse customer base across various industries, including Aerospace, Robotics, Medical, and Train.

Responsibilities

  • Assign job tasks to welding department personnel.
  • Ensure all assigned work tasks are completed in accordance with approved data and serviceable materials.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other department managers.
  • Lead by example to maintain high standards of safety, quality, scheduling, and profitability.
  • Supervise the training and overall performance of welding employees.
  • Monitor crew activities to ensure efficient, safe operations.
  • Make recommendations for revised procedures when problems are encountered.
  • Maintain statistical reporting.
  • Inventory and restock welding and fabrication supplies.
  • Work under the direction of the Fabrication Manager.
  • Supervise employees in the weld shop department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8-10 years of welding experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with TIG and MIG welders, Oxy/Acetylene torch, grinders, hand drill, drill press, manual mill, manual lathe, resistance welders, forklift, and band saw.
  • Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, and manuals.
  • Capable of sampling parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
  • Time management skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced math skills.
  • Preferred: AWS in D1.1 and D17.1 welding certificates.

What you'll be running
