Overview

The Pipefitter Leader will work in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF, conducting on-the-job training and instructing personnel in pipefitting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-the-job training for nuclear and non-nuclear work.
  • Instruct pipefitter mechanics, workers, helpers, and ship's force personnel in the skills of the trade.
  • Utilize knowledge of the latest work processes and procedures to ensure necessary work permits, system tag outs, work instructions, drawings, material, and special tooling are available on-site.
  • Pass on instructions received from supervisors and initiate work.
  • Collaborate with other workers and set the pace.
  • Maintain current knowledge and answer questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.
