Overview

H & R Sheet Metal LLC. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator with 10 years' experience to join their manufacturing team. The role involves transforming raw sheet metal into high-quality components and assemblies, requiring expertise in metal fabrication techniques and machine operation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of fabrication machinery including press brakes, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines.
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately to produce precise parts.
  • Set up and calibrate tools and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections during production processes to identify defects or deviations from specifications and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed during machine operation and material handling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or related manufacturing roles with strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in operating fabrication equipment such as CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and shop math for accurate fabrication.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments including caliper, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision tools for quality control.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to machine operation, material handling with forklifts, and general shop safety practices.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with excellent hand tools skills for precise fabrication work.
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor and customers.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High School Diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate).
